On 23rd April, a photo-exhibition, dedicated to the 75th birthday of Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman-cosmonaut in the world, was inaugurated at the Nehru Science Centre in Mumbai. This exhibition, prepared from the rare photographs by the Russian Centre for Science & Culture in Mumbai, was inaugurated by Mr. A. M. On 20th April a gala concert of the Ballet-troupe, the Moscow State Academic Dance Theatre 'Gzhel', dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Russia and India. Mr. S. Mullick, the Chief of the Protocol of the State of Maharashtra, Mr. Sanjay Raut, the Member of Parliament, representatives of the political and business circles, activists from the fields of science and culture of India Heads of the diplomatic missions and compatriots were present at the get-together.

On 14th April, 2012, Mr. V. V. Dementiev, the Director of the Russian Centre for Science & Culture in Mumbai and Dr. Suniti Deshpande, the Senior Management Executive and a famous Journalist called on Mr. Sunil Prabhu, the new mayor of Mumbai, at his Mayoral Bungalow. Mr. V. V. Dementiev congratulated Mr Sunil Prabhu for having been elected on the high post of the Mayor of Mumbai - one of the biggest metro-cities of the world,

On 11th April, 2012, a film festival, dedicated to the 80th birth-anniversary of the outstanding film-director Andrei A. Tarkovsky, was inaugurated at the Russian Centre for Science & Culture, Mumbai. This film-festival was organised in assistance with the movieclub, named after him, functioning at the Russian Centre for Science & Culture, in Mumbai.

On 9th April, 2012, a ceremonial inauguration of a photo-exhibition, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations was organised at the Russian Centre for Science & Culture. At the inaugural ceremony speeches were delivered by H. E. Mr. A. A. Novikov, Consul General of Russia in Mumbai, Mr. V. V. On 2nd April, 2012, the 'BRICS Festival' was organised in a school in Mumbai. It was organised jointly in assistance with the Russian Centre for Science & Culture in Mumbai and other organisations. It was held to mark the meeting of the leaders of diffrent countries of the 'BRICS' in New Delhi (27th - 28th March, 2012). Each class was given the task to prepare information and a cultural programme about one of the countries of BRICS.
